OUR FINAL JUDGES ANNOUNCED: The Dyanmic Duo from RIGHT TO PLAY – Ainsley Dowle & Kelly Dickinson
TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR!
The saying goes – “When you are holding an Air Guitar, you can’t be holding a gun”. 21 years ago, the Finnish creators of the Air Guitar World Championships decided that World Peace was the philosophy around this act of musical appreciation and dance. We’ve taken it one step further and decided to do some good while playing the Air Guitar. Our beneficiary is Right To Play. And this is what they do:
We are thrilled ta add Right To Play to our judges panel. Let’s recognize their work with the children and make sure we know what this event aims to do. Melt faces, make joy, raise money for our charity.
Ainsley Dowle has raised over $7 million dollars in her short fundraising career, and that doesn’t even include the money she asked her dad for in high school! Committed to making the world a better place for children and youth, she likes to think she’s saving lives on the daily. Currently the Manager of Individual Giving at Right To Play, she’s eager to see what our Air Guitar Champions can bring to the stage. With a background in the film industry and a childhood spent dancing, she’ll be watching you with an eagle eye. A recent personality test labelled her both friendly and aggressive. Conundrum, much?
Kelly is a newbie to the Air Guitar world. After attending the Toronto championships in May she was hooked and is now joining the National Championships as a First Time Judge. With years of experience in the events and fundraising industry, Kelly has had a successful career managing large galas, fashion shows and various fundraising events for some of the top not-for profits in the city. Currently she is the Events and Sponsorship Manager at Right To Play Canada.
Kelly was born and raised in Toronto and now lives in King West. Her favourite colour is pink and loves decorating and staying organized. She is only 5”2 and lives by the saying “though she be but little she is fierce”. So don’t let the sweet smile fool you… She has no problem asking you to empty your pockets in support of Right To Play.
